FAQ: Mommy to 9-Month Old Mikhail
Are you still breastfeeding?
Yes, alhamdulillah.
Though not as often as I used to, since I'm working and all.
Mikhail takes solids and formula but Mom's Cafe is open in the evenings and all through the night. Oh, and weekends too :)
What does Mikhail eat?
Porridge, stew, rusks, pureed fruits etc.
I cook for him when I can and when I can't, he takes Nestle's baby porridge; the only kind he'll take.
When I cook, I usually make things with loads of vege like leek, brocolli and spinach. Other ingredients are tofu, oatmeal, ikan bilis, chicken, carrots, peas and the like. For taste, I do add ginger and some garlic. For homemade baby food recipes, I just google.
Do you prefer being a SAHM or a WorkingMom?
There's no answer to this question, guys.
I loved being a SAHM for different reasons that I also love being a WorkingMom.
So please stop asking if I 'regret going back to work' because, quite simply, I don't.
Is Mikhail a Mommy's Boy or a Daddy's Boy?
Depends on who you're asking.
Wan thinks Mikhail is the epitome of a Mommy's Boy but I think it depends on his mood. Sometimes he prefers Daddy, sometimes he's attached to Mommy.
Though to be perfectly honest, I guess at this stage of his life, he seems to be more of a Mommy's Boy.
Can he walk yet?
Only if we're holding on to both his hands ala 'orang-utan', as his Daddy laughingly dubs it. We're not rushing things. He'll walk when he's ready, just like how he crawled. I was so worried that he was only commando-crawling and the very next day, the boy started crawling like a pro. Babies do things at their own pace.
Control-Freak Mommy needs to relax and enjoy things as they are. Hehehe...

great post, dont feel pressured to join the club, its not as glamorous, very very tiring!! so when ppl ask about this 2nd baby, so geram...i cakap jer..
this baby was an accident, you know the one between the kitchen and the living room floor. enough to make them shut up or laugh if they get the joke :-)

I get the question when-is-baby-coming all the time :) I've varied my answers mostly, but i think your reply is the best I've come across so far.
at least it's "when's number 2?" i've been getting "err.. no baby yet? and silently -what's wrong with you woman?"
