Rumble Jumble Mumblings
Welcome to Mommy Mediha's Rumble Jumble blog-post...
Sigh...
My mind is currently incapable of proper narration and if I wait for it to cure itself, we might have another long silence on Mikhail's blog.
So here goes... Anything that pops into my mind...
Sweet-Pea, Cutie-Pie, Honey-Bee and the Lot
You know how people give pet names to their loved ones?
I never thought I was the type to do that… but guess what… I am!
I just realized that I still occasionally call my husband ‘Fluffy’, even though he has cut his curls a long time ago.
(Yes, yes, I said ‘Fluffy’… Now stop laughing people)
And I’ve realized that despite my insistence that no one calls Mikhail by a nickname, I find MYSELF occasionally calling him ‘Mickey’. And sometimes, ‘Stinky Mickey’.
Oh tidaaaaakkkk… I’ve GOT to stop that.
Watching the Box in a Box
Anyway, speaking of Mickey, Mikhail’s a big fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Playhouse Disney. And whenever we go out and he spots a Mickey Mouse doll, he’d excitedly greet it like an old friend. He’s also a big fan of My Friends Tigger and Pooh and their ‘Think Think Think’ song. Other shows include Little Einsteins, Johnny & The Sprites and Happy Monster Band.
Yeah, Mikhail can watch TV now. And unlike some of my ‘We’re-Raising-A-Purebred-Modern-Genius” friends, I don’t necessarily see TV as a bad thing. And no, it has nothing to do with me working in Astro :P
Mikhail has many… uhm… eccentric habits. One of which is that he likes to watch TV while sitting in his diaper box. I don’t know why. He’ll throw out all the diapers in the box, drag the box out of his room and place it smack in the middle of the living room. And then he’ll nonchalantly climb into it and watch his show. It doesn’t look comfortable to me, but he’s quite happy..jpg)

KizSport
We've been taking Mikhail to KizSports as well as playgrounds etc for him to socialize with other children. He loves it! He has no problems making friends and he shows lots of interest in playing with the bigger boys than with those his age. He's not a big fan of girls though. Unless they're 16 years and above. For THEM, he's a charmer.
Mikhail loves the slides and tolerates the see-saw; but what he loves the most are the balls. He's a ballaholic. Maybe it has something to do with it being the World Cup season when I was carrying him. I wonder if he'll show any interest in the EURO 2008....jpg)

I love my ball...
Mikhail in a Rombongan Pertunangan
Mikhail's Ayah Ngah got engaged a couple of weeks ago (Wan's brother, the one living in Sarawak). It was a modest affair and Mikhail enjoyed himself. Wan, being the head of the family since Ayoh passed away, was part of the rombongan. And Mikhail, being a real Daddy's boy, stayed put in his lap during the entire ceremony. Thankfully, he behaved himself. And he was greatly rewarded with a large portion of pulut kuning, which he loves..jpg)
Nak kahwin dah ker?
Glutinous Rice Glutton
Speaking of pulut, Mikhail seems to have a penchant for pulut'y food. Nasi dagang, pulut kuning, and sushi! Yeah, we introduced him to sushi a few weeks ago and he loved it. Of course we didn't let him eat too much (and no wasabi!) but he enjoyed the little crab rolls and had a great time experimenting with the chopsticks.

Mommy-Daddy's 3rd Wedding Anniversary
We went to Genting Highlands for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary (3rd June) and of course, Mikhail came with us. We had a blast going on the rides and watching Mikhail go crazy at the arcade. Initially, he was very wary about the floating boats and the trains etc, but once he realized that these things were fun, we had to pry his fists away from the rides! I can't wait for when he's old enough to go on the thrill-rides. -001.jpg)

Great posture there, son!
Tangannn yang memberiii...
You know how KL has all these panhandlers who go from table to table at restaurants, exchanging little bookmarks and stuff for some spare change? Mikhail's always very curious about them. He'll follow them with his eyes as they visit each table. And when they get near ours, Mikhail will hold out his hand for either Mommy or Daddy to pass him a RM1 note.
With a very serious face, he'll slip the note into the waiting hands of these charity-seekers and he'll immediately hold out his hand for them to give him the tissue packet or bookmark or whatever else they may be handing out. Here's what he did to the bookmark he received from a blind lady....jpg)
Looks good on me, Ma.
Remember when I said Mikhail has his eccentricities?.jpg)
Once again... 'Looks good on me, Ma!'
Click!
Mikhail loves the camera.
He'll always bug me to open the video or camera folders in my mobile phone for him to watch himself in action.
Vain?
Yes.
Like the Daddy?
Hehehe... I refrain from answering but... see above answer. Haha!
These days, Mikhail wants to TAKE pictures of himself.
Here's his most recent masterpiece....jpg)
'My foot'
Cheers!

fluffy?! aiseyyy my dear, that one's too funny!! hehehehee! but i'm guilty of the same thing too and i know i've made a blunder in front of ppl when H turns red in the ears. the worst was the time i called him "busyuk" and the mamak started calling him "busyuk" too. eyikes..
Happy 3rd anniversary, you guys!! :) Glad to hear that Mr. Mickey had fun! Hahaha.. That's a cute nick - Mickey that is, not fluffy. LOL!
I've heard lots about Kizsports and haven't had the chance to bring Irfan to try it out. Now I think I will lah. Maybe I'll get your number from Irwan and we set a playdate for our kids, k? And just like Mikhail, Irfan's not a fan of girls too, unless they're like in their teens or older. Haha. Once he played footsies with my MIL's friend (and the friend's very very hot!) and I was sooo malu. Tsk tsk, kecik-kecik dah pandai. Haha!
Btw, I find Mikhail's eccentricities very cute! :) Gayung atas kepala is like a normal thing for my son too.
la, miss nyer you cakap pasal pulut kuning semua tuu..lol your little man so cute miut.
Di.... that pic of Mikhail in the bathroom with a gayung on his head, I've got a pic of me exactly like that!!! Hehehehe.
mrshusin
Thanks Izan. I think he's cute too... Hehehehe.. As for being a chick magnet... I'm thinking of getting him a nice, cozy cage for his 13th birthday... coated with 'irritating teenage girls' repellant.

Thanks dear! I can't believe I've been a bini orang for three years already.

Hahaha!!! If I ever meet you guys, I'll be sure to say a BIG hello to Mr. Busyuk. Heheheee

A playdate would be fun! Though Big Boy Irfan might just deem it uncool to play with Little Boy Mikhail. Takper... they can bond over gayungs.

Next time you come back to our shores, we belanja you pulut kuning.
