Little Drummer Boy
Wan Mikhail's Public Performance at a Music Store in Kuala Lumpur a couple of months ago. The small crowd surrounding him didn't seem to faze him one bit.
This was taken via Daddy's mobile phone so forgive it's lack of clarity.
Mikhail has always been a big fan of drums.
He received a little drum set for his first birthday and has been banging on that thing for all this time. And even without his drums, whenever he hears music, he'll start jamming to it on his air-drums.
We usually take him to visit music stores to look at the instruments. We're hoping to send him for lessons when he's a little older. Daddy wanted him to have an interest in guitar. Mommy hoped he'd choose the keyboards (piano or organ). But Mikhail has his own interests.
No matter how we try to get his attention to other instruments, he would make a beeline for the drums...
More often than not, the sales staff there would lift him into their laps and let him bang on those (freakingly expensive) drums and Mikhail will have the time of his life. A particular sales staff in a music store in Ampang had called him a 'child prodigy' (fuuyoooo) and made us promise to send Mikhail to him for drumming lessons once Mikhail turns 3.
Whether or not Mikhail is a prodigy, we're just so happy to see him take great delight in the drums and we'll do our best as supportive as we can :)
